Last year I started a collection of Autumn smalls. I stitched a couple the previous year, but last year was the start of a serious collection! This year I have added three additional pinkeeps and one small pillow.
First is this little lady from Mausimom's Freebies. I stitched her last year but did the finishing this year. (I don't think this free pattern is available anymore.)
Next is an apple tree from Appleseed Prim. This is a current free pattern, and it was a fun and quick stitch.
The last one is a new free pattern from Industrioushead. Her designs and color combinations are always nice to stitch.
And, here is a photo of the backs.
The little pillow I stitched is a free pattern from Le Chalet des Perelles. You have to search back a little for it, but all you do is send a message, and Cathy is very quick to respond. The pretty leaf charm is from my friend Francoise in France, and I received it in an Autumn exchange last year.
Here is the back. I just love how the leaf border on the fabric matches the leaf border in the stitching. It's just like they were made for each other.
And last, but most definitely not least, is a lovely Autumn gift I received from my friend Hazel in England. I wish the photos could capture the real beauty of her workmanship. She made both the biscornu and the card, and they are both wonderful treasures to me.
Here is the back of the biscornu. Don't you love the mother of pearl button? I think it is the perfect accent.
Well, that's it for now. I hope to have more Autumn stitching to share with you soon. Enjoy your day, and I hope you are able to soak in the season's temperatures, scents and sites and all the things that Mother Nature has to offer!

Hi Nancy,
Seems like ages since I 'spoke' with you - sorry, things have moved so fast this year and sad things mixed with sunshine - you know like, it can be a doozy! Miss Maddy is blind now and not doing well but getting lots of extra love. Oh how I hate to see her age.
Ben is in 7th grade and doing great - got his first note on a pink post it stuck in his locker yesterday - so cute. I put it in his baby book. LOL
Zack loves preschool - his favorite place on earth. Runs me ragged. LOL
Your stitching is gorgeous as always! The first pinkeep is darling - love that girl.
Hope your AUTUMN is lovely as you are and I bet Gretchen is getting so big ... soon you'll be teaching her to stitch samplers left and right.
hugs,
Tanya
Now we can see why you have been quiet - you have been busy stitching. Lovely work :)
Great Autumn stitching, and what lovely gifts.
All of your stitching and finishing is wonderful! Love the present from Hazel as well. Happy Autumn!
Your autumnal stitching is gorgeous, Nancy! I love your finishing, as always. What a sweet extra touch to include the button from Francoise--it makes it all the more special. :) Beautiful gift from Hazel, too!
What fun little autumn pieces! They all look so wonderful. Our rainy days have finally subsided for a while and it's very pleasant fall-like weather here too!
It looks like you're finding some stitching time, Nancy! All of your autumn pieces are so pretty--I was doing what the little girl in the first piece is doing today (raking leaves!). It is such a lovely fall day here--finally! Supposed to be a perfect weekend as well.
Lovely gift from Hazel--isn't it amazing how stitchers from all over the world bond through our stitching blogs...
Enjoy your weekend :)
Our fall weather here is weather in the 80's. No fall color to speak of. You're going to have a beautiful collection of autumnal smalls.
I just love the apple tree pattern - Isn't it gorgeous - And a freebie at that -

Those are such beautiful smalls, Nancy, my favorite one is the little pillow, I'm going to look for the chart on Cathy's blog, thank you for telling us about it! I always enjoy your blog and love it when you visit mine!
Beautiful stitches, yours and Hazel's. I, too, love the word "autumn" and have always used it instead of "fall".
I adore your finishes!! And what a sweet gift from Hazel - beautiful!
I love your pinkeeps Nancy especially the little girl one (wish I had seen that when it was available) I can imagine you have quite a collection now, thank you for showing the Oak pillow. I love the saying on it.
Trust you are well.
Enjoy the autumn Nancy.
Hugs and Stitches,
Hazel C (UK)
