SAL Progress

I haven't had a lot of time to stitch lately. Well, not as much time as I used to, but enough to keep up with the SALs I'm doing and to start a new Halloween small. I will share the Halloween design when I finish stitching it, but I wanted to share my SAL progress with you on this post.

First is the Mystery SAL that Carol from iStitch offered. I'm so glad I signed up for this. I decided to use Bay Breeze from Carrie's Creations and 28 count Cashel linen in Cream. This is such a pretty little sampler.

Second is the beautiful SAL Guimauve et Violette from Vava's blog Talons Aiguilles. I'm using her recommended DMC threads, and isn't this a pretty color combination?

The end of summer is nearing, and I am so looking forward to Autumn and Winter! Stitching an Autumn or Halloween design with a chill in the air and a hot cup of tea or coffee seems so appealing!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thanks to everyone for stopping by and for the nice comments you give to me.

I really like both the SAL's you're stitching. The second one especially.

Summer is a long time from over here in terms of temperatures but Friday the humidity was lower than normal. Even though it was 90, it felt fantastic!

Lovely stitching, I particularly like your thread colour choices. Everyone's thinking of Autumn these days, there's a distinct chill in the air every morning.

Both are lovely Nancy. I love the colour you've chose for Carol's SAL.
Love that little bird sitting on the bobbin in the second piece.

Those are both very lovely, Nancy. And I love your thought about starting an autumn piece while enjoying the cool air!

You always pick the nicest SALs to do, Nancy! Beautiful work on both of your projects.

I do love autumn--love the thought of hunkering down with a nice cup of tea, huddling under a blanket while watching new TV shows and stitching on a sampler. Ahhhh... life is good. ;)

Have a great week!

Hi Nancy, love how your SAL are coming along. Would have loved to do the one with Carol, but new there wasn't time to devote to it. Hopefully the next one!

Also, wishing for fall - this hot weather is more and more unbearable.

Nancy - your SAL's are looking wonderful - I'm with you on the fall feel - we are currently on vacation and in the path of Lee but with the rain in the Smokies - it feels very fallish here - I've already had my first SB Pumpkin Spice Latte and I'm stitching on a new halloween piece so I am definitely bringing on the fall frame of mind - Cheers! Both SAL's are beautiful Nancy. I'm also doing the SAL with Carol.
I'm also ready for Fall, chili weather and cups of hot tea and hot cider.

Bay Breeze is a good choice, one I'll have to remember myself. I bet it's "cool" to stitch with, huh? I like the colors on the other one too.
I'm already in an autumn mood and I think the weather is going to cooperate after the rain, lol.

Hi Nancy! Your SALs look so pretty--lovely color choices as always!

We're having an early fall here--very cool, rainy, and gray. I hope we still have some warm days left--it seems too early to be this cold. Hope you get some more stitching time very soon :)
