I joined the
Little House Needleworks Monthly Ornament Stitch-A-Long Blog. The first pattern won't be arriving until the first of December so blog leader
Vonna suggested we might want to "whet your appetite" and stitch an ornament design, by LHN or CCN, from one of the Just Cross Stitch Ornament issues. I chose Snow Bunnies by Little House Needleworks. It's in the 2007 issue.

I had the recommended DMC, but nothing else, so I used what I had in my stash. The linen is 28 count Monet Blue. I used tan and white ticking stripe fabric for the back.

I used white leaf ribbon trim around the edges and attached it with tiny seed beads I have had for years.

Using craft wire I threaded the same beads and made a hanger. On each end of the hanger is a little vintage glass ball.

I can't remember a year when I had more fun stitching for Christmas! Can you believe it's already that time of year?

Beautiful, Nancy! Your creative finishing talents shine once again.
How lovely! I've always liked that design and haven't stitched it (although I've kept the magazine), but your finishing makes it even more special.

Nancy,
This is fantastic AND a SALsuffit too !! Congratulations. I love the way you have really expressed the icy coolness of the design by stitching it on that pretty linen and finishing it with the ivory leaf trim. The beaded hanger really is wonderful.
Your work always gives so much pleasure.
Warm hugs Angela
Nancy, I saw your ornament on the LHN blog too! Love those little bunnies ~ I'm stitching Let It Snow and it's coming along.. I have a few more flakes and then the border so I'm hoping to have it done by Dec. 1. Your ornament and finishing is pretty, pretty, pretty!
Wonderful as always Nancy - I wanted to join this SAL - I better get busy - I think the first ornament ships this week - I know I won't be able to keep up with everyone but it would be fun to participate. Mel
